Our Story
We are a husband-wife team who experienced first-hand what happens when your medical insurance doesn’t provide the coverage you need. We spent years working as W-2 employees paying into employer-sponsored healthcare plans and assumed that we would be protected if we ever experienced a medical emergency. Then life happened and we quickly learned how the deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out of network fees can add up to tens of thousands of dollars in medical debt.
This created a new financial burden on top of our everyday bills. Not to mention we lost part of our income from being unable to work during recovery. We knew there had to be a better way to have healthcare that works for you and not against you. We founded Nunes Partners because we believe you should have options. We break the mold of traditional insurance by allowing you to choose the products that make sense for your specific needs and budget.

With over six years of experience in the insurance industry, Leo has established himself as a trusted expert in designing and implementing customized healthcare plans that maximize employee coverage while reducing costs, both monthly and out-of-pocket.
Diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2022, Leo has a deep personal understanding of the importance of accessible and affordable health care. Leo’s personal cancer journey has given him a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities of the ever-evolving health care industry. This fuels his passion for helping businesses of all sizes navigate the complex landscape of employee benefits to provide the best possible coverage for their employees.
In addition to his work as an employee benefits advisor, Leo is also dedicated to giving back to the community. He plans to establish a nonprofit organization aimed at providing resources and education to men diagnosed with prostate cancer, drawing upon his own experience to support others facing similar challenges. Leo also serves on the Board of Directors for CashForCare, a grassroots movement and directory for cash-pay friendly healthcare providers and price transparency, where he contributes his expertise in advocating for transparency and affordability in the healthcare industry.
Leo’s educational background includes studying aerospace engineering at the University of Oklahoma, which has honed his analytical skills and attention to detail. He brings a unique perspective to the field of employee benefits advising, combining his technical expertise with his passion for helping businesses and individuals access quality healthcare options.

Brandy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from California State University Long Beach, where she developed a strong foundation in communication and storytelling. She leverages her skills in journalism to help businesses influence their culture through employee benefits, creating meaningful and positive impacts on their workforce.
As a visionary leader, Brandy is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community through her involvement in various nonprofit organizations. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Sue’s Gift, a nonprofit that provides support and resources to women across Colorado who have been diagnosed with gynecologic cancer. Brandy is passionate about empowering women and providing them with the support they need during challenging times.
In addition to her work with Sue’s Gift, Brandy also serves on the Board of Directors for CashForCare, a grassroots movement and directory for cash-pay friendly healthcare providers. Her commitment to improving access to quality healthcare and advocating for more transparent pricing in the industry has earned her recognition and respect among her peers.
