Hello! Thanks for the kind words. Also, thank you for your interest in being a guest writer. We will reach out to you to discuss further. Thanks again!
If you have been following the blog, you might have seen a pattern starting to develop. We here at Webbin’ It believe that to be as successful as you can be online you need to have a complete presence. If this is your first time with us you might be asking, “What does that even mean?”
It’s quite simple really, I’m sure most know what a website is, most will know what SEO is as well, and I am sure everyone knows what social media and blogging are. A business, or nonprofit, that is applying strategies to all of these “rainbows” is utilizing a complete online presence and will have a bigger “pot of gold” then those that are not.
Like in past posts, I am going to focus on each of these rainbows and hopefully bring up points that have not been covered yet. For starters, did you know that you should build your website with the same design principles as your brick and mortar office? It’s true! From conceptual design to the final product, your site should go through the same process
For those of you that have an office space, I would venture to guess that you either looked for a place that was already built out, or you went to an architect, interior designer, or the like to get the space that would be perfect for your needs. You might have looked at some floor plans or had some drawn up for you, but you had to look at the space, see how the rooms were laid out, and take in that feng shui all before determining, “This is the office space for me!”
Web design also goes through that same process but instead of blueprints we use wireframing to examine the layout and determine what pieces should go into what space. Just like a blueprint defines the structure and traffic flow of the building, wireframing gives us the structure of the website as well as defining the journey we will be taking the users on.
Once we have the “rooms” of our website laid out we need to start planning on the finishes. Paint colors, wallpaper, and other finishes are just as important in web design as it is the office. No one wants their clients to have to walk into plain white rooms. We want it to be welcoming and inviting otherwise they are going to turn and walk out the door. Can you say bounce rate? I knew you could.
Graphic design, or even better user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, is the interior design of the web.
Still not sure what exactly to do with all this? Don’t worry, we can help you get your direction.
“Wait, UX and UI design? Tell me more”
UX and UI designers work together considering the important aspects of branding (Typography, color, etc.), which I have discussed in an earlier post, and applying them over the who, how and why, giving your site
Putting all this together gives you the virtual presence that you that you are trying to portray. When you tie your physical presence in with this virtual one that is your brand… Your voice… Your story. Come to us for your web design needs keeping in mind that your web site might be the only thing a person sees about your business. We will make sure they see your best.
Join us for Webbin’ It Wisdom where we discuss everything you need to know about building a solid web presence.

I absolutely love your blog and find the majority of your post’s to be precisely what I’m looking for.
Would you offer guest writers to write content for yourself?
I wouldn’t mind creating a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write in relation to here.
Again, awesome website!
